The Standard Has Changed

Most aerobars available today come in an industry standard diameter of 22.2 mm. This means that most XLAB athletes can purchase any of the TORPEDO VERSA, TORPEDO KOMPACT, or HYDROBLADE TRI front hydration systems and be confident that the stock SECURECLIPT BRACKETS included with these systems will fit their bikes.

Adapt, Overcome, And Evolve

However, there are some aerobar positions that are just a tad wider than the systems can go, or they have extensions that are larger than the standard 22.2 mm. For those setups, CUSTOM SECURECLIPT BRACKETS are available in the Extended bracket set, and 3 alternate sizes; 27 mm, 25.4 mm, and 24 mm.

Environmentally Friendly

XLab select a biodegradable, extreme-impact, thermoplastic polymer when building these brackets in-house for added durability and strength.

Extended: Standard 22.2 mm extensions. Extends up to 190 mm depending on hydration system

HOW TO INSTALL

  1. Unscrew current clamps from front hydration system, keep screws to the side, you will use these later.
  2. Unthread the velcro strap from each clamp. If difficult, we found it is easy to dislodge the section of the strap lodged in top groove of the bracket first, by pushing up.
  3. Thread strap through the new 3D SECURECLIPT BRACKETS.
  4. Next, place the 3D SECURECLIPT BRACKETS onto your extensions at your desired position.
  5. Take the screws you set aside in step 1, and insert them into the 3D SECURECLIPT BRACKETS.
  6. Place an M5 Nylock Nut on each end of the screw.
  7. Using an open wrench, tighten the screw to the nut as tight as possible.
